After YNW Melly’s ex-girlfriend’s mother, Felicia Holmes, was excused and the jury was dismissed for the day, the defense motioned for a mistrial. The defense argued that the state deliberately put Holmes on the stand to attack YNW Melly’s character and make him look badly with zero factual basis behind doing so. “The jury watched this fiasco unfold,” defense attorney David Howard explained. The judge said he needed time to make a decision. Court resumes Tuesday.
