During his proffer Thursday morning before testifying, Detective Danny Polo confirmed he is extremely concerned for his and his family’s safety. The detective works undercover for the Broward County Sheriff’s office and stated he had a $50,000 hit job out for him. When the defense had the opportunity to question Polo, they asked him whether or not he had been wearing a mask at the courthouse for the hour he was waiting for the trial to start. The detective confirmed he was not wearing a mask then.
