ATLANTA (APD / News Release) – On July 3rd, 2023, at approximately 3:40PM, officers responded to Nail First located at 2625 Piedmont Road NE on a call for an attempted business robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female victim and several witnesses who stated that an unidentified black male suspect wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, white Gucci sneakers, a blue L.A. Clippers cap, and a grey handbag, entered the nail salon with his hand inside of the handbag and pointed the handbag at the female victim and several of the nail salon customers and employees demanding them to get on the ground and to hand over their money. Surveillance footage from inside of the salon shows the male suspect taking the female victim’s cell phone but it appears that when the suspect sees that none of the other nail salon employees or customers are complying with his demands, he leaves the location. At this time, investigators with the city of Atlanta police department are working to identify the suspect in this incident.
