Detroit, MI – The U.S. Marshals on Monday arrested the last of five suspects wanted in the murder of a 46-year-old Ypsilanti Township man in June.
Coreyon Brown, 19, was taken into custody without incident by members of the Detroit Fugitive Apprehension team at the home of an acquaintance in Ypsilanti.
The homicide, which was captured on Facebook Live as Terrill Smith streamed himself outside a West Willow home June 28, led U.S. Marshals on a nationwide manhunt for the five subjects who were involved in the murder. Four suspects in the homicide were arrested quickly.
Once confronted by U.S. Marshals, Brown surrendered peacefully. Brown was transported to the Washtenaw County Jail, pending further court proceedings.
Brown was featured in October on Investigation Discovery’s “In Pursuit with John Walsh” in the segment, “15 Seconds of Shame.”
“The example shown today by our fugitive apprehension team is a glimpse of the tenacity and perseverance our Deputy US Marshals and Task Force Officers display daily,” said U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Michigan Owen M. Cypher.
