In January, the investigative team led by Special Counsel Jack Smith secured a search warrant for records linked to former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account, court records show.
Subsequently, a judge imposed a fine of $350,000 on the social media giant due to a delay in complying with the warrant, the Associated Press reported
The submitted document details that Jack Smith procured a search warrant that instructed Twitter to provide “data and records” associated with Trump’s Twitter account. Additionally, the warrant included a stipulation for a nondisclosure agreement, preventing Twitter from disclosing the existence of the search warrant.
