RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. – A Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy was reportedly killed during an encounter Thursday.
The scene is in the 3900 block of Golden West Avenue in Jurupa Valley. The Sheriff’s Office says just before 2 p.m., the deputy ‘pulled over a vehicle and during the traffic stop he was shot.’

It was unclear if a suspect was in custody. Although, a police chase ended nearby in gunfire and a suspect neutralized.

“Please stay away from the area while deputies conduct their investigation,” the Office said.
