Mom of Border Patrol Agent Murder Victim Emotionally Testifies in Death Penalty Sentencing Phase

Mary Hernandez, the mother of Grizelda Hernandez, emotionally testified about how her daughter’s death has impacted their family, including her older son. “It’s been very, very, very had,” Hernandez testified during the death penalty sentencing phase. Ex-border patrol agent Ronald Burgos-Aviles was convicted of killing Grizelda, his mistress, and their 1-year-old son over child support. The judge said the sentencing phase will last five to seven days.
