WELLSTON, OK. – 26-year-old Emma Delaney Hancock, a former substitute teacher at Wellston Public Schools, has been charged with lewd or indecent proposals or acts to a child under 16, soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by using technology, and obscene or indecent writings and pictures.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, which began in November 2022 after allegations surfaced that Hancock had sent nude photos to a 15-year-old student.
The student told officials that the relationship began after he put his number into Hancock’s phone for an assignment he needed, and that their conversations on Snapchat escalated from casual conversations to nude pictures and videos.
According to court documents, there were two instances where Hancock made out and touched the student while hiding inside classroom closets or behind pantries.

The student also alleged that Hancock allowed him to vape from her vape pen.
When the relationship was brought to light, Hancock initially denied it but later admitted to it. A search warrant was obtained for Hancock’s Snapchat account, where videos related to the incident were found.
Hancock turned herself in and posted bond, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
