The chief medical officer who performed Tammy Daybell’s autopsy finished his testimony in court Tuesday. Later, the state called Chad Daybell’s good friends from church — Alice and Todd Gilbert — to testify. The Gilberts said they loved Tammy and remember feeling awkward when Chad told them he had a new girlfriend — Lori Vallow — just weeks after Tammy’s death. Lori Vallow Daybell is currently on trial for Tammy’s murder, along with the murders of two of her children.
