During the YNW Melly double murder trial Thursday, the state played Snapchat videoes for the judge and defense that they want admitted into evidence. They believe the video helps “paint a picture” of the rapper’s life leading up to the violent crime he allegedly committed. However, YNW Melly’s defense team fired back — claiming the videos were irrelevant and have absolutely no connection to the case. “Context to what?” lead attorney David Howard questioned in his objection. The judge ended up ruling in the defense’s favor.
