Two girls, ages 11 and 12, were sexually assaulted on Brooklyn streets in separate attacks that occurred just two hours apart over the weekend, police said.
In the first incident, the 12-year-old girl was walking near Saint Pauls Court and Church Avenue in the Prospect Park South neighborhood at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, when a stranger groped her behind, cops said.
The child was not physically injured in the vile incident.
The sick suspect, who ran off after the attack, was last seen wearing a camouflage T-shirt and black headphones, as seen in a surveillance photo released by the NYPD.
The second incident took place at 8:50 p.m., when police said an 11-year-old girl walking in the area of Warwick Street and New Lots Avenue in East New York was confronted by a man and a woman.
The man fondled the child’s breast, before he and his female companion ran away, investigators said.
Images released by the police showed the woman wearing a long green dress and glasses. The man was last seen sporting black pants, a black T-shirt and light-colored sneakers.
The two assaults targeting young children happened less than five miles apart. They are being investigated by the police as separate incidents.
Anyone with information about the suspects is being asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
