Several people have been taken into custody for Thursday night’s shooting that occurred at the Parks Mall in Arlington.
19-year-old Damius Lindon, 19-year-old Jaccques Jacques, 17-year-old Careco Harris, and 18-year-old Kaiden Jackson have been identified as those who were arrested. They face various charges, such as Fighting in Public and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Documents show that the three got into a dispute with Jackson at the mall because one of them spoke to the other one’s girlfriend.
During that time, a physical fight started and Harris retrieved a firearm and aimed it at the other group. He struck one person with the gun but didn’t shoot the weapon.
When the gun fell out of Harris’s hand, Jackson retrieved it and shot Harrris in the arm. A 38-year-old woman who was close by was shot in the leg but wasn’t a part of the altercation.
That woman and Harris were transported to a medical facility with non-life-threatening wounds.
Lindon, Jacques, and Jackson have been placed in the Arlington City Jail. Once he is released from the hospital, Harris will be booked, as well.
More charges may come later as an investigation is on-going.
