Police in Spokane, Washington arrested 31-year-old Spencer Media after he allegedly threatened retail employees with bear spray at two different stores. Authorities said Media is accused of going into a sporting goods on Nov. 4 and putting thousands of dollars worth of merchandise into a cart. When he tried to leave the store, an employee tried to stop him, but he threatened the employees with the spray, police say. A similar incident happened at a local Walmart on Nov. 5. During his arrest, police said he fought with authorities and hit an officer. His accomplice was also arrested.
