A Florida man was shot by police after allegedly charging at officers while armed with knives Sunday. Authorities said deputies responded to a distressed caller who claimed his son was having a breakdown and walking around with knives. When Volusia County deputies arrived, they faced a standoff with 43-year-old Michael Collmar, who refused to comply as tensions got heated. Deputies shot Collmar after he allegedly charged at them, knives in hand, before disarming him and providing medical treatment. Authorities said Collmar is expected to recover from his injuries.
