Bodycam and surveillance videos show the Chicago police shooting that left a 13-year-old boy paralyzed on May 18. Police say the teen took off running after jumping out of an allegedly stolen vehicle. When officers caught up to the teen, he turned around and appeared to put his hands in the air as an officer discharged his firearm, striking him. The teen’s family has filed a federal lawsuit against the city of Chicago and the Chicago Police Department after the incident left the teen paralyzed, stating the shooting was unjustified. The video was released by an attorney obtained by the teen’s family.
