A man who allegedly attacked an elderly couple after breaking into their home is gunned down by Houston police officers after apparently pointing a firearm at officers. The Houston Police Department in Texas released bodycam footage showing the incident unfolding, calling the incident a “complex situation.” The suspect apparently knocked on a neighbor’s door claiming he was being chased before going next door and allegedly forcing his way into the elderly couple’s home. The suspect apparently began fighting the elderly husband when another neighbor came over with a gun to stop the altercation. Police say when they arrived, the neighbor and suspect were fighting over the gun. The suspect apparently successfully took the gun from the neighbor. When police confronted the suspect, he allegedly pointed the gun at officers before officers opened fire. The suspect died at the scene. Police say a female officer suffered an injured elbow and none of the homeowners were injured during the incident.
