A Colorado police officer punched a woman in the face after she spat in his face on May 20. After the incident, the Loveland Police Department fired 28-year-old Russel Maranto for unnecessary use of force. Maranto and another officer held 59-year-old Angelia Hall at a hospital for evaluation after she was found wandering in the streets. No charges have been filed against the officer.
