Following an altercation with a driver described as driving “erratically” and allegedly involved in striking a pedestrian, a 30-year-old man named Dylan Isaacs was shot and killed as he was leaving Sunday’s Miami Dolphins game, police say.
The incident unfolded just before midnight on Sunday near NW 27th Avenue in Miami Gardens, approximately a mile away from Hard Rock Stadium. Officers responded to a call reporting a person shot, discovering Dylan Isaacs suffering from an apparent gunshot wound upon their arrival.
Despite the response from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Isaacs was pronounced dead at the scene. Isaacs, a Bills fan from Six Nations, Canada, had attended the Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills game with friends.
As Isaacs and his friends were making their way back to their car after the game, an “altercation” ensued between Isaacs and the driver of a Honda Accord, who was allegedly driving recklessly and had struck a pedestrian, according to Miami Gardens police. The situation escalated when the driver brandished a gun, firing shots that struck Isaacs. Subsequently, the driver fled the scene.
The Honda Accord involved in the incident was identified and located in Palm Beach County on Monday. Authorities have seized the vehicle pending further investigation. Although the police have identified and interviewed the suspect, the individual’s identity has not been disclosed at this time.
