Greenville police have successfully located the mother of a newborn baby discovered in a dumpster on Sunday. Authorities revealed that the mother is a teenager, and the North Carolina Department of Social Services has been engaged to aid in the ongoing investigation.
As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the case. The infant, who is reportedly in good health, is currently receiving care at ECU Health Medical Center.
The incident unfolded when police received a call to respond to 1574 Bridle Circle on Sunday at approximately 10:20 a.m., following a report of a child found in a dumpster near an apartment building.
