Active Shooter At Medical Building In Texas

CEDAR HILL, Texas — According to Cedar Hill Police, a call regarding an active shooter was received on Tuesday afternoon at a medical building in the 900 block of E. Belt Line Road around 12:15 p.m.

Responding officers found one male gunshot victim and observed a suspect with a rifle fleeing the area.

T he suspect fled but was later found after he crashed his car, police said. Officers arrived on scene and the suspect, still armed with a rifle, was shot by police.

The suspect was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition. The victim is also hospitalized in stable condition.

No further information was available regarding the identity of the shooter or a potential motive.
