Swizz Beatz and Timbaland launched a very popular rap battle event. Now, they are battling the company that purchased their idea. They are doing so with a $28 million plus interest lawsuit.

The well-known producers have filed a lawsuit against Triller. They say that the video-sharing social network service didn’t pay for the idea that Swizz and Timbaland came up with, which is Verzuz.

Court documents reveal that Swizz and Timbaland agreed to let Triller by Verzuz in January 2021. However, they claim that Triller defaulted on the agreement, following just two payments. This was the second time they defaulted after settling on an initial default, the plaintiffs say.
