The former Navy SEAL who claims to have killed Osama Bin Laden in 2011 was booked into Collin County Jail on Wednesday.
47-year-old Robert J. O’Neill, who says he fired the shots that killed Bin Laden, was in North Texas for a podcast last week.
In a statement released to The Dallas Morning News, Frisco police say O’Neill was arrested and is facing charges of Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Public Intoxication. He was released the same day on a $3,500 bond.
It’s not the first time O’Neill has made headlines.
In 2016 the Navy SEAL was arrested in Montana for a DUI, and in 2020 he was banned from Delta Airlines for removing his face mask.
