Robert Dubose, 22, a man from Rome, Georgia, has been apprehended after police say he attempted to smother a infant with a pillow and broke her twin sister’s neck.

Dubose has been charged with felony aggravated assault and cruelty to children.

Authorities say that on October 3, Dubose used his bare hands to harm the three-month-old babies. Reports indicate that the twins had been born extremely premature.

It isn’t known how Dubose is associated with the children, and the twins’ condition hasn’t been released.

Police believe that the motive for Dubose’s actions were because the infants were crying.
