A murder investigation is taking place after one of two people who went missing on Saturday was found dead.
Authorities began to look for 73-year-old Myrtle Brown and 35-year-old Sergio Brown after relatives contacted them stating that they couldn’t contact or find the two individuals.
As officers began to look for them, they found Myrtle Brown, Sergio’s mother, dead, close to a creek behind her residence. Her body was taken to the medical examiner’s office where it was determined that her death was a homicide and was due to several injuries from an assault.
Police have not been able to find Sergio Brown.
Brown is an ex- NFL player who played for the Patriots, Colts, Jaguars, and the Bills. His career ended in 2016.
An investigation is on-going.
