Nina Jones, a mother in Maryland, wants answers after her 7-year-old came home with large wounds on her arms.
Jones reported that her young daughter attends District Heights childcare in District Heights, Maryland.
On August 17, the mother picked up her daughter and discovered bruises and marks on her daughter’s arm when she winced as her seatbelt was being placed on. The mother stated that she quickly called the local police department and the Prince George County’s Child Protective Services.
Although no workers saw the abuse, the daycare camera captured the occurrence.
In the recording, it revealed that Latayzia Forbes, 21, who had on a green t-shirt, had shoved the 7-year-old. She is then seen pulling the girl to another area as the child tried to get away, holding onto a wall. Another camera, showing another view, depicted the worker pushing the child to the floor.
Lexus Austin, the manager of the daycare, has noted that Forbes has been terminated, and the matter is being investigated.
On Friday evening, Forbes was apprehended and charged with second-degree child abuse and second-degree assault.
