Customer Arrested After Striking Popeyes Employee Months After They Had An Argument

On June 15, 2022, authorities arrived to a scene at 20035 North Freeway, at a Popeyes restaurant location in Harris County, Texas. They were there in regards to an assault.

When police were looking into the matter, a male employee stated that he had been assaulted by a female patron.

Authorities learned that the suspect had been in a verbal dispute with the employee through the drive-thru speaker a few months ago. On June 15, the customer is seen on camera footage going inside of the store. She then reached over the counter and hit the restaurant worker.

Neke Ifford has been named as the suspect and was apprehended at her home.

“Neke Ifford was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Assault. Her bond was set at $100 out of County Court 15,” stated deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s office.
