On Wednesday evening, ‘SNL’ Comedian Chris Redd was punched in the face in front of the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village, in New York, where he was set to perform.
Documents note that Redd was exiting his vehicle at about 9:40 p.m. A man who seemed to look like a security guard, snatched a chain off of his neck and punched him in the face.
The 37-year-old victim is said to have been bleeding profusely from his nose and was transported to Bellevue Hospital to receive medical attention.

The suspect left the location and hasn’t been apprehended at this time.
