On Monday morning, around 9:30 a.m., police were called to the 1900 block of Rutherford Lane, in Arlington, Texas. It was first said to be a single-vehicle crash.

Although officers didn’t locate a car involved in a wreck, they did observe a Kia Rio stationed next to Brookhurst Lane. The vehicle had been running, and the doors were wide open.

When officers went up to the car, they discovered a man in his 20s who had been fatally shot.

Authorities believe that two passengers had been in the car when it first arrived to the location. Then, the victim was killed, and the two passengers left the scene.

Police are now looking for the suspects and think that some type of high-risk activity could have been taking place at the time of the shooting.
