The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a crash in Denton County that left a 16-year-old girl dead Wednesday morning.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the 5000 block of H. Lively Road for a single vehicle crash around 8:00 a.m..
When paramedics arrived, they pronounced the 16-year-old driver of the vehicle deceased on the scene. She was the only occupant inside the vehicle.
Officials say the 16-year-old girl was driving east on H. Lively Road and did not calculate a 90-degree turn in the road properly. Her vehicle went off the road and overturned into a pasture.
Troopers say the girl was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.

The victim has been identified as a 16-year-old girl from Ponder. A name has not been released to the media due to her young age.
